GRUB is missing and BURG not showing !
How to repair the GRUB and perhaps RE-INSTALLING BURG ?

  error: cannot stat `aufs'.  

To avoid the above error on GRUB re-installations,
download and boot up Ubuntu Live CD according to the current Ubuntu installed on your system / laptop.
If current Ubuntu use 64bit Edition then download 64bit Edition. 

Boot into the Ubuntu Live CD, enter the following commands:

sudo fdisk -l

2. Mount. (replacing sda2 with the appropriate partition number):

sudo mount /dev/sda2 /mnt

3. Reinstall Grub (replacing sda with the appropriate hard drive):

sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sda

4. Update GRUB.

sudo update-grub

Reboot without the CD,
GRUB will be back to normal and BURG will be remove.
