It includes lots of free software, which can be used as alternatives to popular apps found in Windows or Mac OS X operating systems.The codename of this first version is Kaade Vyakur (Spiny Babbler).
Chitwanix OS Version 1.0 with codename \’Kaade Vyakur (Spiny Babbler)\’ is an Operating System developed using Linux Kernel. The naming convention of this OS is based on Nepal Recognizing Names with the sequence of Nepali Letters क(Ka), ख(Kha), ग(Ga) … with changing versions. Its a customized OS from Linux Mint OS where Linux Mint OS is Derived from Ubuntu Linux OS which is derived from Debian. Chitwanix OS is developed for all Linux Users from geeks to newbies. The OS is fully focused to Nepali Users taste and requirements, seeking their day to day computing habits. Chiwanix OS is Free Open Source Software which could be used as alternative OS to Windows and MAC and works like other Linux Distros.
